Business Agility

A couple of days back one Agile Guru called me. I thought of taking that opportunity to ask him one question that had been in my mind for quite some time.  Here is a gist of it.

-Hello, can I ask one question?
--- Sure go ahead. 

-What is Business Agility?  Is it that type of agility so as to improve the business?
---Ummmm, yes. But what you said sounds too simplistic.

-So how would you describe Business Agility in an impressive & non-simplistic fashion?
---Business Agility refers to the rapid, continuous, and systematic evolutionary adaptation and entrepreneurial innovation directed at gaining and maintaining competitive advantage.

-That sounds really impressive. But does that boil down to agility to improve the business?
---Yes. In simple words, that is correct.

-Is there any other type of agility, apart from Business Agility?
---Ummm, yes. You can say Technical Agility.

-If Technical Agility does not help to improve business why one should go for it?

---beeeep beeeep beeeep. Suddenly his phone went dead.
